Join us for the festive opening of What the Land Remembers — Counter-Archives From Iran, a collective exhibition that explores the power of moving images to defy official narratives and preserve collective memory in times of repression. At a moment when war, institutionalized terror, and internet blackouts threaten Iran, the urgency to safeguard history has never been greater. This exhibition, two years in the making, presents rarely seen installations, experimental films, and rediscovered tapes that bear witness to the resilience of Iranian artists.

We're kicking off the exhibition with a DJ set by ZAN زن, the sound project of Iranian multidisciplinary artist Kimia Nasirian. Alongside her DJ practice, she develops sound journeys and listening sessions that explore deep listening, collective experience, and the emotional layers of sound. Her work moves across different formats, always connecting music, memory, and diasporic narratives. For this event, she will be playing a progressive set that gradually moves towards a more dance-oriented energy, blending Iranian music with electronic and electro sounds, and building a journey from immersive listening into rhythm and movement.
